A Photographic Point of View: Abstracting Nature and the Cityscape

 

Description

 

Joe Donohue will chronicle the nature of fine art photography and the influence of technology on subject matter, emphasizing current trends. Using his own photographs and a selection from different periods until the present day, Donohue will emphasize the changing role of the photographer. Topics will include: influences of photography and mixed media; what constitutes a photograph today and using photography as an aspect of social media, e.g. facebook.

Five photographs, landscapes and florals, will decorate the walls at Hopital Maisonneuve-Rosemont in 
East End Montreal for 'Belle et bien dans sa peau", a Breast Cancer support group.

The Art for Healing Foundation is dedicated to bringing the healing power of art and art 

education to hospitals, hospices and shelters and to improving the welfare of those 

participating in the healing process as healthcare givers and as patients.
